For a number of years, I've felt that there have been problems with

my heart rhythm. I was increasingly feeling unwell, and many doctors had

dismissed it as anxiety! Christmas 2022, there was a doctor who decided to try

a Loop recorder, which gets inserted under the skin, in the chest by the heart.

and this device records heart activity. Low and behold after a short few months

this revealed significant pauses with the heart rhythm, and this resulted in me

needing a dual pacemaker to be fitted. This was carried out in June 2023. I finally had

a diagnosis of "sick sinus syndrome which my dual lead pacemaker manages

along with POTS, "postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. I now feel

better than I did and relieved that they gave me a diagnosis and a device to

pace my heart. It goes to show you know your own body, especially when you

don't feel well, Never ignore warning signs
